Indigenous Engagement at NDE Solutions

At NDE Solutions, we are committed to building strong and respectful relationships with First Nations communities and creating meaningful, long-term opportunities for participation and leadership in our industry.

We are proud to have over 6 percent of our workforce identifying as Indigenous, well above the national average of approximately 2 percent across engineering and technical services. This reflects the efforts of our teams and partners to create pathways that are accessible, supportive and sustainable.

A key part of our commitment is our partnership with Australian Cultural Services, with whom we are developing a national Indigenous Engagement Strategy. Their guidance ensures our programs are built with cultural insight, community consultation and practical relevance.

Through this collaboration, we have developed an Indigenous Career Pathways Program that supports First Nations Australians into skilled technical, inspection and support roles. The program provides accredited training, mentoring and meaningful employment on major infrastructure and energy sites—many of which are located on or near participants’ traditional lands.

In Queensland, we partner with the NRL School to Work program, using trusted sporting and community connections to engage with young Indigenous Australians. This initiative supports students through education and into structured training and work placements within our industry, helping to build long-term capability and confidence.

Across our operations, Indigenous team members are contributing in a wide range of roles. We continue to support their development through targeted training, flexible work arrangements and clear career pathways, backed by a workplace culture that recognises and respects culture, identity and community.

We are focused on doing this work well, listening to our partners and team members, and improving how we support First Nations people in the regions where we work.
